Tight Squeeze?

Here at the Barton HQ we have a few watches in particular that have a difficult time accommodating our NATO® style straps (nylon & leather). If you have found yourself in the same frustrating position, don’t throw in the towel just yet! “But why is this happening”, you might ask. One possibility is that the position of the lug holes on your timepiece were drilled rather close to the watch head so the strap doesn’t have enough room to slide between the spring bar and watch case. This is merely a result of the watch design. Another possibility is that your watch was produced specifically to accommodate a curved strap. Our Alpina Alpiner (seen below) is a great example of the "tight squeeze" scenario. 

The solution - curved spring bars! The curve of the spring should give our NATO® style strap the extra wiggle room it needs to slide between the watch head and spring bar!  We have some extras laying around our office, so be sure to reach out directly if you are having any issues, and we would be happy to help you out!
